Trip reports

Guests who've been there, said that

"The Peaks & Pinot day was the single best day of our honeymoon. Heli up, walk down, long lunch — I still can't believe that's a real itinerary."

Hannah T.
Wakatipu Peaks & Pinot Trail

"Ben Lomond pushed me hard but our guide paced it perfectly. Hut nights, terrible card games, unreal sunrises. 10/10 would suffer again."

Marcus W.
Marcus W.
Ben Lomond Backcountry Trek

"Milford with these folks beats the big bus tours by a mile. Stopped everywhere we asked, knew every photo spot, and the Te Anau pub pick was inspired."

Trip questions

Before you book

Straight answers to the questions we get every week. More on the destinations themselves if you're still picking a spot.

In a hurry?

Ring +64 21 163 5989 and we'll tell you in two minutes whether a trip suits you — no sales script, promise.

Summer weekends (Dec–Feb) can book out three to four weeks ahead. Midweek and shoulder-season trips are usually fine with a week's notice — sometimes less.

Yes on the easy-rated trips — Shotover, Milford and the stargazing weekend all work well for kids 8+. Ben Lomond is adults and fit teens only, honestly.

Join a group departure — about a third of our guests come solo and the small group size makes it easy to chat. No single supplement on shared hut nights.

Most of them, yes — with winter routing and extra gear. The stargazing weekend is actually best in winter when the nights are longest and clearest.

Spots are small-group limited — grab yours

Eight seats max per trip, and summer dates go first. Tell us what you're keen on and we'll hold a spot while you decide.
